Cat’s-Eyes are common glass marbles; first made in Japan in the early1950’s, then copied by American manufacturers in the mid-1950s and then by almost all other marble-makers the world-over.  For a period between the 1950s and late 1960s these, multi-colored and sometimes beautiful marbles were among the most popular toy marbles made. They are still made today, though no longer multi-colored or beautiful. They are the most common toy marbles sold in the world.
